Word add-in sideload
Download Flowline for Word
Flowline opens a debate flow sheet inside Microsoft Word. Download the manifest, then pick the install path for your computer.
Choose your install method
Start with Word on the web if your account shows Upload My Add-in.
Word on the web
Use this when Word lets you upload a custom add-in.
- Download Flowline manifest.xml from this page.
- Open a document in Word on the web.
- Open Home, Add-ins, then More Add-ins or More Settings.
- Choose Upload My Add-in, select the downloaded manifest, then add Flowline.
Windows desktop
Windows Word expects the manifest to live in a trusted add-in catalog. The reliable local setup is a shared folder.
- Create a folder named
FlowlineAddin, for exampleC:\FlowlineAddin. - Move the downloaded manifest.xml into that folder.
- Right-click the folder, open Properties, Sharing, Advanced Sharing, then share it as
FlowlineAddin. - Copy the network path. It should look like
\\YOUR-PC\FlowlineAddin. - In Word, open File, Options, Trust Center, Trust Center Settings, then Trusted Add-in Catalogs.
- Paste the network path as the catalog URL, select Add catalog, check Show in Menu, then restart Word.
- Open Home, Add-ins, Advanced, Shared Folder, then choose Flowline.
Mac desktop
Mac Word reads sideloaded manifests from a local folder named wef.
- Download manifest.xml from this page.
- In Finder, choose Go, Go to Folder.
- Paste
~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Word/Data/Documents/wef. - If the
weffolder does not exist, create it, then put manifest.xml inside it. - Restart Word, then open Home or Insert, Add-ins, and choose Flowline.
Update Flowline: replace the old manifest with a fresh download from this page. The add-in itself loads from verba.top, so most updates appear after Word refreshes the task pane.
Common problems
These are the usual fixes when Word is picky.
Add-in does not appear
Restart Word, confirm Show in Menu is checked, and make sure you opened the Shared Folder area.
Add-in error
Make sure the manifest still points to https://verba.top, then close and reopen Word.
Mac folder missing
Create the wef folder yourself, put the manifest in it, then restart Word.
